Tomas Ghisellini studied at the Swiss-Italian Academy of Architecture based in Mendrisio - where he attended the Archi-tecture’s Design Atelier IV "The Body of Architecture" given by Peter Zumthor - and at the Faculty of Architecture of Ferrara - leading a thesis on the recovery of methane off-shore installations in northern Adriatic Sea - where he gradu-ated with honors. Since graduating, he has collaborating with Alberto Cecchetto, Mirko Zardini (CCA, Montreal, Canada), Richard Ingersoll (Syracuse University), Manuel Gausa (ACTAR) and participating in several experimental architectural and urban design projects. Since 2004 he has assumed a professorship at the University of Ferrara’s Department of Architecture, where he has taught the "Analysis of the City and Territory", "Landscape Architecture" and "Theories and Techniques of Architectural Design". Since 2010 he is master professor teaching “Architectural Composition and Design I”. In 2009 he founded the Atelier of Architecture, which offers architectural, urban and sustainable design, landscape architecture, construction and communication. Finalist in several international competitions, he won national design competitions for the construction of public and private works, all completed or in progress.
